About Me

Hello, my name is Brona Russell, welcome to Soundings Therapy and Counselling Services for the greater Meath and North East region of Ireland.
I provide professional confidential counselling services, through a person-centered approach which ensures your active participation in the counselling process, exploring thoughts, beliefs, feelings and behaviours that affect your life.
My training is in integrative psychotherapy, primarily person-centred, which places the relationship between the client and the therapist at the core of the work we do together. I recognize that there is no ‘one size fits all’ form of therapy, therefore every session is tailored to the specific goals and needs of each client.
Incorporated within my person-centred approach, I integrate aspects of Humanistic philosophy, Reality Therapy, Attachment Theory, Transactional Analysis, Existentialism, Family Systems Theory, Narrative Therapy, Psycho-education, mindfulness and CBT, to deliver the best fit for each client.

My goal is always to empower each client to develop and grow their own sense of individuality in their world. I believe in each of my clients and their abilities to become the best of whom they can be.
I work with individuals across a broad range of concerns including, but not limited to; Depression, Anxiety, Bereavement, Loss, Grief and Separation, Family and relationship concerns, Abuse/Trauma, Sexual and sexuality issues, Self-harm, Suicidal feelings, Terminal illness, Addiction.
